Welcome!
Welcome to the new Web site for The
Canadian Association for the
Study of Book Culture / L'Association Canadienne pour l'étude
de l'histoire du livre. The CASBC/ACÉHL was founded in 2004 to
establish at the Congress of
the Humanities and Social
Sciences an annual opportunity for scholars working in a broad
range of humanities and social science
disciplines in Canadian universities to meet on the common
ground of studies of book and print cultures. Our
constitution declares the
objectives of bringing together those residents of Canada who
are interested in the study of written communication (in its
various forms and processes) and of encouraging the
interdisciplinary study and teaching of those subjects.
This site includes
information
about the orga nization,
how to
become a member,
the annual conference and
links to related associations and research projects.
