About CASBC
After three successful symposia in
2002, 2003 and 2004, the CASBC/ACEHL was formally founded in
2004 to provide an opportunity for scholars working in a broad
range of humanities and social science disciplines in Canadian
universities to meet annually on the common ground of studies in
book and print cultures. Our
constitution declares the twin
objectives of bringing together those residents of Canada who
are interested in the study of written communication in all its
various forms and processes, and of encouraging the
interdisciplinary study and teaching of these subjects.
